| Since
the creation of regional education service centers in 1965 Texas’
20 regional ESCs have played an integral role in the provision
of necessary and essential services to school districts and charter
schools in the implementation of school reform and school improvement.
In recent years, RESCs have taken the lead in preparing Texas
reading and math teachers to meet the ever increasing demands
of the STAAR and EOC tests. RESCs serve more than 4.9 million students and
over 663,000 administrative and campus staff and play an integral
part in ensuring the success of Texas’ education system. |
